Purposeful escape. Honest connection. Encouragement to seek God‘s truth on every path. A workout for the heart. A reason to laugh – sometimes at ourselves. Permission to enjoy the journey. And a reminder that we are never alone – Jesus takes every step with us. It’s all here.

“Though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with His hand.”
Psalm 37:24

Welcome!
The last place I would expect to find myself is on the pages of a website. But you are here, so I know I’m exactly where God wants me to be.
I wrote my first book when I was eight. It was a whopping ten pages and was received with critical acclaim—my mother loved it! For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a pen in my hand and a passion in my heart to find words that breathe life into the wonder around me.
My husband and I live in a red brick house on a hill. Our three children are grown with families of their own, but the home where they were raised still rings with chaos and laughter whenever we are all together.
Like family, God created us to walk through life in the company of others. Supporting, sharpening, and affirming each other along the way.
In a world where we often struggle to find our footing, I’d love to offer you a soft place to fall, a friend to lift you up, and encouragement in God’s faithfulness as we walk together with Him.

I was stirring.…

The Innkeeper’s Do-Over: A Second Chance to Prepare Him Room- 6 Purposeful Ways to Make Room for Jesus this Christmas
If the young, expectant father (lowercase f) from the House of David had knocked on a hundred doors in Bethlehem that night, he would have received the same response. Maybe he did. Scripture does not make us privy to the finer details of their lodging, but regardless, a proper room was never going to be offered to…
